AutoTransTech International Technical Seminar 2026 in Antalya
Dear friends!
We invite you to take part in the AutoTransTech international technical seminar in Turkey. The seminar will be held on 24 October 2026 (full day) at the Porto Bello Hotel Resort & Spa in Konyaaltı, Antalya. Registration is open from 1 September 2026.
The need of our specialists for knowledge and new technologies pushed us to look for foreign industry experts and involve them in training and sharing experience at theoretical and practical technical seminars. While attending technical events in the USA and the UK we met experts such as Bill Haney, Wayne Colona, Alan Smith, Steve Garrett, Alan Gad, Hans de Boer and others.
In 2004 we invited foreign specialists for the first time as part of the MIMS exhibition in Moscow (Alto, NewcoAutoline, AutoTrans/BAAN Transmission) and held the first technical seminar in Kyiv. At the end of the same year the preparation of the Moscow event began.
On 25 August 2005 the first seminar took place at the World Trade Center in Moscow. 38 people took part. On the second day we visited Takho Transmission - one of the leading automatic transmission repair companies at that time. That same year, together with UTC, we held a seminar in Kyiv and an exhibition in Almaty. We chose a strategy of staying ahead: up-to-date information with an eye on the future and on new transmissions.
Seminars are held in Moscow (the Olympiets centre) and in Kyiv. The first hands-on sessions appear at Takho Transmission with the support of Oleg Ratnikov and Alexey Rumyantsev.
The first exhibition with more than 10 foreign companies (Transtar, Alto, NewcoAutoline, Sussex, ZF, Sonnax and others) takes place in Moscow. The third seminar and hands-on practice at Takho Transmission as part of the Sonnax Roadshow. Everyone remembers the first steps in repairing and testing valve bodies; the practical sessions were run by the leading engineers of Sonnax and Nottingham Engineering.
New manufacturers take part in the Moscow exhibition - already more than 18 companies from Russia and other countries, among them Lubegard, Precision and Transmatik. In the photos - a young Alexey Legushev from Novosibirsk, the future head of Mahle Group in Russia. The hands-on sessions are again hosted by Takho Transmission.
The Automatic Transmission Territory exhibition at Crocus Expo. The seminar is held in partnership with the automotive college, using SuperFlow equipment, dynamometer benches, torque converter welding machines, hydraulic testers and other equipment. Sonnax representatives also give a master class as part of the Roadshow. For the first time the seminar is attended by ZF Europa representatives: Peter Korba and Hans Peter Bach. In 2013 ZF will open a transmission remanufacturing plant, which we will visit in 2014. This year became a significant one for many companies, such as ZF Russia and Kinergo.
Through the Ministry of Education we achieve the opening of the "Automatic transmission repair specialist" programme at the college. The first intake of students starts in 2011. The sixth seminar gathered more than 100 participants from 10 countries.
The Automatic Transmission Territory exhibition at Crocus Expo gathers the largest number of industry companies - more than 20 from Europe, the USA and Russia. Kinergo is established as a brand! About 80 companies took part in the seventh seminar.
Roni Zelichenok represents Alto. John Parmenter, a partner of Precision, comes to Russia for the first time. The Automatic Transmission Territory exhibition is held together with MIMS Automechanika. The eighth seminar brought together more than 100 participants.
Seminars at the Automotive College and the MIMS exhibition. We run business consulting trainings with Igor Ryzov. ATSG president Wayne Colona comes to Russia for the first time.
The seminar at the Tropicana resort hotel. Presentations are given by the vice presidents of ZF (Hans Peter Bach) and Aisin Europa (Hiromi Kato). An excursion to the ZF plant. A representative of LuK Schaeffler - Yuri Alexandrov - also takes part for the first time.
Kazan: thanks to Agregatka (Adel Yakupov and Shamil Yaushev) - a vivid seminar with hands-on practice and a memorable programme.
Minsk: a technical seminar as part of the Sonnax Roadshow - the first one abroad.
Moscow: the seminar hosted the first mini-exhibition of spare parts and diagnostic equipment manufacturers. Everyone remembers the American-style party after the two-day seminar.
Yalta: the first seminar in Crimea. A cheerful excursion, swimming in December and a warm banquet.
The first seminar in St Petersburg with the support of the Dilizhans company and Nikita Shmitov.
The Moscow seminar gathered 150 participants.
The Sochi seminar: Steve Garrett shares his experience with hybrid systems. The publication of the first magazine for the transmission industry in Russia begins - AKPPRO, with the support of Denis Shevchenko and the Transfix company, and with the wonderful team we put together: coordinator Anna Solovyova and editor-in-chief Valery Chusov.
The first exhibition at the NOVOTEL on Krasnaya Presnya as an independent Automatic Transmission Territory.
Practising lawyer M. Komissarova speaks about the legal protection of car services in view of the increasing abuse on the part of customers.
A seminar in sunny Moldova with a visit to wine cellars and plenty of national colour. Thanks to Oleg Kosolapov and Grigory Botnar.
A seminar in Mineralnye Vody; many thanks to Vlad Konyushevsky for his help in organising the event - it was interesting, informative and fun.
A seminar at the Olympiets park hotel and an exhibition at the Novotel. The seminar gathers more than 150 transmission specialists.
A seminar in Belgorod with the AVTOMAT company and the support of Andrey Bykov.
An away seminar in Astana (Kazakhstan) - fun, tasty and informative. Thanks to Maxim Uskov and his wife Asema.
An anniversary year with interesting presentations.
A trip to Prague and an excursion to the LuK Schaeffler clutch plant in Baden-Baden. We thank LUK Russia and personally Yuri Alexandrov. An unexpected and pleasant celebration of the anniversary of AutoTransTech founder Vladislav Bakalov.
A seminar in Yekaterinburg; many thanks to Denis Morozov and his wife Anna for their help in organising the event - it was interesting and informative, with wonderful speeches at the banquet.
The start of the pandemic crisis! A lot changed, borders closed, the plans for trips to Baku and Barcelona fell through, but we kept meeting, talking and holding together as one family! It was frightening, but when everyone is together it felt calm and confident!
For the first time since 2004 there were no representatives of foreign companies at the seminars. And that turned out to be rather an advantage: our transmission community proved that it can develop on its own, by its own rules.
We have many talented Russian speakers and, as experience has shown, they are often even better than the foreign ones: more practice, more technical solutions and a better understanding of real-life operation and problems.
The year did not differ much from the previous one, but there was more control. Our transmission community remained close-knit and confident about the future! Although at the banquet in the Sofrino hotel it turned out to be very cold, which is unusual for August, it was still fun and lively!
2022 - A seminar in Moscow at the Planernoye Park Hotel
2023 - Turkey: a land of contrasts. This year we held the first technical seminar in Antalya, Turkey, together with our long-standing friends and partners who had moved there. Turkey really is a land of contrasts, as they say in the well-known film. Holding seminars here is not easy - the mentality of our southern friends makes itself felt - but everything goes cheerfully, deliciously and with genuine hospitality. Before that, no such events had been held in Turkey. The level of training of the specialists is not high yet, but they are hard-working and curious. We hope the format will suit them - and that one more transmission community will appear in the world.
This year a new direction was added - Poland. Thanks to our friend and partner Hubert Siniawski from the GETRIBO company, who had attended the Moscow seminars for many years, the first seminar in Warsaw was organised. Thanks to his organisational skills the event was a success and earned the interest and respect of the participants. Also this year, together with Automechanika Istanbul, a technical seminar was held as part of the exhibition of the same name. AutoTransTech contributed to the training of students of the Istanbul State Technical University - teaching them the design and operation of automatic transmissions.
Moscow - the twentieth seminar gathered 150 participants.
This year is a special one - we are celebrating 20 years since the first technical seminar! We keep expanding, bringing together professionals and enthusiasts in Poland, Turkey and other countries and strengthening the international transmission community.
A lot has changed over the years of the AutoTransTech seminars from 2005 to 2025. Children and grandchildren have been born to our participants. Many of them started coming with their families, which brought our professional community even closer together; we try to take the presence of families into account and to offer them something to do in their free time. It has become a tradition for Evgeny Makushev to host the first evening of the participants' get-together with a barbecue and a tasting! Many thanks to Evgeny and his wife Natalia for keeping this tradition alive! It is always very tasty and fun!
We look forward to seeing you at our anniversary celebration in Moscow!
Dear friends! We are pleased to announce that we are now open for registration for the annual AutoTransTech 2026 seminar!
