LADA Xray Cross with JATCO JF015E CVT
We have already told about plans of the Jatco company for the construction of the plant in Russia in the middle summer. Now there have emerged indirect confirmations of this insider information. So, it became known that on November 22 on the main conveyor AvtoVAZ the first copy of LADA Xray Cross in signature light brown «Puma» color with Jatco JF015E CVT from pilot lot has been built.
Earlier, it was reported that LADA Vesta in the coming 2019 will also receive a complete set with CVT. Now the information has appeared that LADA Xray CVT, which debuts approximately for half a year before LADA Vesta CVT, will rise the first on the conveyor. At first LADA Xray CVT will be equipped only with a combination of Jatco JF015E CVT and Nissan HR16 engine (1.6 l, 114 hp), and later, perhaps, a Japanese CVT will be possible "to make friends" with VAZ 1.8-liter motor. An estimated margin for a lack of the third pedal is 30 - 40 thousand rubles in comparison with a mechanical box.
A press office of AvtoVAZ has commented the possibility of complete set new type of transmission of LADA Vesta and Xray models: "AvtoVAZ thinks of addition of the number of transmissions with alternative to the AMT technology which is available for the company, however it is still prematurely to speak about some terms of emergence of these decisions on concrete models".
